I was knocked up (woken up) this morning, not to the sound of frying chips or the smell of porridge but to clotting blood sliding down my throat....

ok, I tried the British English thing and I am giving up.
I just can't find a place to incorporate the words colour, fag, tyre, arse, bloke, lift and iced lolly anywhere in my life!
I could try, however...

Anyway, this morning's nosebleed took 10 minutes to abate and it scared the living hell out of me. I wanted to take the lift downstairs and smoke a fag outside to chill out.

*shiver*

I have no problem seeing blood or handling it...but when the colour red is leaving my own body instead of some poor bloke, I can't help but panic just a little.

yeah and menstration doesn't count, I want that over and out.

(tyre and iced lolly don't make it today.)

I went to judge 6th grade history project presentations this afternoon at a school in Oak Park today. Most of the presentations were wonderful, and to our amusement some of them really sucked. I was grading as consistently as I could, sometimes feeling I was too hard on the kids with my comments. However, meeting up with another judge (my age) to compare and average scores, I realized that I was pretty generous.

I laughed. She was even laughing at herself because I kept saying, "Oh my God Kari!" and reading things like, "NO CREATIVITY" "NO SUPPORT FOR THESIS" "REPETITIVE VISUALS" "SUPPORT IS NOT CONSISTENT WITH THESIS" I had to draw happy faces and exclamation points after her comments so the children reading their feedback WON'T CRY!. (that made her laugh even more)

It was funny, but I agreed with her on most.

Fifteenth on the nineteenth.

Ok. I know...Its february already.
Yeah, I haven't posted a damn thing since December if you don't count late New Year pictures.

So my sister's having a Quincienaria-a-bobber thing on the 19th. (If you can't tell, my spelling is off on that.)
It sounds like a fun event. I wonder if she's already suggested a pinata? I know my dad is enjoying the planning. He's always been gung ho when it comes to having people come over especially to eat....My mom on the other hand, hides the Sprite in the pantry so people drink Coke instead.

I talked to them last night and my sister mentions that its close to 80 degrees and they're cleaning the pool.
Fuck, and I'm over here slipping on the ice trying to scale the pile of snow between me and my car door with a hot Latte in my hand and car keys in the other.

I'm always cold.

So I have a big smile on my face studying for all the hard finals like genetics and developmental biology.
cramming, sweating, overdosing on caffeine...no wait, that wasn't me.
I take them, no problem.

Afterwards, I come back home to a pile of Ecology notes and handouts that I haven't even had the stomach to even touch all semester. I pull out the lecture notes but nothing is written on them. The book is fresh and clean. so I said ARggGH! and watched Monster House on TV.

I hate ecology. I hate it with a passion.
This is probably why it was my last final to complete my B.S.
Studying for this one was like Fear Factor.
Its not hard, It's just ugly. I'd seriously would have rather eaten a bug...like a fruit fly or a gnat.

I sware, everything is about a bug eating a bug eating a leaf and birds with seeds in their poop. (seed dispersal factor)

I don't know.
anyway. all that is OVER now.
I took it this morning with a grumpy face.
i did it. yay.

so it was a bright and beautiful clear morning and i'm walking Oliver (a gorgeous dog about my size) with Illiana. We're in the dog park for a few minutes watching Oliver run around when she turns to me and goes, "dude! theres a guy over there and he's completely naked!" Her words were trickling into my ear and my mind was desperately trying to turn them into something more expected from our surroundings like, "Dude, Oliver's taking a really long shit" but I realize I heard her correctly the first time. so I look at her, then look behind her and look at her again and we were in complete silence. I laughed out of my nose and said, "holy shit, there's a guy over there...and he's completely naked."

but today I ordered one with the balls in them anyway. "What the...Why did you..?" Michelle asked, with the most confused 'why can't I ever understand you' look on her face?

"Because I am an idiot." I replied...

No. Actually I really said the stupidest thing anyone could possibly say, "I just feel like balls in my thingy."

Needless to say, Michelle almost spit out her drink.

spent 50 bucks today at dominicks.
ALL liquid. I guess I was pretty tired and thirsty walking through today because I stood at the checkout counter with Dr Pepper Fridgepack, Diet Dr. Pepper Fridge pack, 3 cases of Redbull, 2 cases of thoses Starbucks Frapp things, a gallon of Fruit Punch and ...what else? ...ah yes, Tampons.
I was like dammit! 50 bucks and no food!? I'm such a schmuck!
